THE BUZZING AVENUE
It has been five years since the Gediminas Avenue began to "buzz" during the annual VILNIUS CITY FIESTA. And there are more and more curious citizens and guests of Vilnius swarming to the main street of the city like bees every year. It is not that easy to surprise and please the vagarious town-dweller of the capital of Lithuania, but the organizers of the VILNIUS CITY FIESTA are more than prepared to take care of everything. So once again we can soundly state: the venue cannot be changed!
THE BUZZING AVENUE is not a farmers' fair or market place.
It is a place for stirring cultural action and various creative ideas.
It is a place where different needs, wishes and fantasies come true.
It is a place where neighbours, friends and guests of the city meet.
It is a way of expressing the town spirit!
This year the THE BUZZING AVENUE will stretch across all the Gediminas Avenue - from the Cathedral square to the Žvėrynas bridge.
The motto of this years' BUZZING AVENUE is diversity of a modern city, unpredictability and attention towards new and upcoming expressions as well as the eternal values.
Based on this slogan all the programme of the BUZZING AVENUE is presented in 5 different areas of action:

1. Sports, game and entertainment area
From the Žvėrynas bridge (A.Goštauto str.) to the Lukiškių square (V.Kudirkos str.).
In ths area that is set up for the first time this year various sports events, field and table-top games, special attractions for children and youth, including mini-football matches, 3-on-3 basketball challenge, competitions in free-throws, darts or field-chess competitions, etc. The action will of course be accompanied by music played by various DJs. The action in this area will take place on:
