A Baroque Party

Friday, July 27, 7 pm | St Catherine's Church (30 Vilniaus St, Vilnius)

Baroque works and contemporary technologies

DUO ROSZKOWSKI (Poland):
ADAM ROSZKOWSKI (violin)
JAN ROSZKOWSKI (cello)

It is a rare violinist who performs Baroque era works that takes to the stage without an orchestra. But the brothers Adam and Jan Roszkowski manage to reveal the whole grandeur and splendor of this era together, just the two of them. And if that weren’t enough, they enhance these works written centuries ago with the sounds of the piano, the kotamo (Chinese harp) and even electronica. The result is standing ovations from the US to Italy. The cosmopolitan nature of the performers, a perfect grasp of technique and innate musicality allows them to easily cross genre boundaries and boldly delve into the less well-travelled Baroque. Join them!

Program features J. S. Bach, J. G. Albrechtsberger, J. Halvorsen, etc.
