A CHRISTOPHER’S PICNIC. MORE AIR
July 12, Tuesday
Bernardine Gardens (Sereikiškės Park), 19:00
Performers: AGNĖ DŪKŠTAITĖ (accordion)
IGNAS DANIULIS (clarinet)
Without air, you’d not hear either the clarinet or the accordion. That’s why Agnė Dūkštaitė and Ignas Daniulis are dedicating their performance to – air.
They will demonstrate what a breath-taking, fun journey can be. All in the space of an hour, Astor Piazolla’s Histoire du Tango will transport you to the bustling streets of Argentina, Pedro Iturralde’s Suite Hellenique will spin you into the rhythm of Spanish dances, while Witold Lutoslawski’s Dances Preludes will reveal the beauty of northern Poland’s folklore.
After the concert, returning to the Bernardine Gardens, you’ll realise that you were breathing to the same rhythm as the duet.
Programme features A. Piazzolla, P. Itturalde, W. Lutosławski and others
Duration: approx. 70 min.
Free admission
