EASY MONDAY. Music for a good start to the week

July 15, 18:00 | Adomas Mickevičius Public Library

ELŽBIETA LIEPA DVARIONAITĖ (piano)
PAULINA JANKOVSKYTĖ (violin)

Another excellent and easy Monday with leaders of the generation – Elžbieta Liepa Dvarionaitė and Paulina Jankovskytė.

Both are the winners of many national and international competitions. Both attend the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, both regularly perform in concerts and take master classes with world stars, and have received the praise of pedagogues and critics, and scholarships.

The talent of these performers has not only been recognised with the rousing ovations of concert audiences: the art director of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra Sergej Krylov has given Paulina a specially commissioned violin, while Elžbieta Liepa has been awarded the Little St Christopher statue, for her achievements in music and for bringing fame to the city of Vilnius. Regardless of their appearances at numerous prestigious concert halls, the girls cannot say which has been the best, agreeing that the finest time to play is when there’s someone to listen to you.

Program features A. Skriabin, K. Khachaturian and others
