Taking into account the changed situation due to the pandemic, the concerts of the Vilnius Festival took on new forms and a slightly different program. Tonight, on the stage of the National Philharmonic, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra and its artistic director, violinist and conductor Sergej Krylov will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, the four concerti for violin and orchestra.

The bursting musicality, the deep lyricism, the enchanting beauty of the sound and the breath-taking virtuosity are the qualities attributed to the violinist Krylov. Based in Italy, the musician of Russian origin performs with the world’s most famous collectives and regularly comes to Lithuania to work with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra. In March, he had to give a concert with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra at the National Philharmonic Hall, but after the pandemic adjusted his plans, he quarantined in Vilnius and devoted all his time to individual creative work. Krylov and the musicians of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra have longed for performing and contact with listeners. So today we are listening to a really extraordinary concert.
