In this final concert from the Sacred Music Hours cycle – a prestigious performance by true virtuosi, musicians known for their strong musical prominence that opens hearts up to unforgettable experiences. Renata Marcinkutė Lesieur’s name proudly appears on the most important organ festival posters, she is invited to play the organ at inaugurations and opening events in various countries and teach at Europe’s higher schools of music. The performer has headed master classes at Salzburg University’s Mozarteum and at the Academy of Music in Poznań.
The New Ideas Chamber Orchestra, headed by Gediminas Gelgotas, has demolished the myths that bind classical music. Standing out for their boldness, originality and exceptional performance quality, NICO has taken a synthesis of popular and classical music and non-traditional playing techniques to “create an astounding experience” from each one of their appearances. The orchestra’s members are known as the “equivalents of rock music stars on the classical stage”, and have proven time and time again that experimentation is their way of life, while challenges offer excellent material for new conceptions. One of them is coming up in the final accord of this cycle!

Programme features works by Gediminas Gelgotas, Arvo Pärt, Aivars Kalējs and others.
